Abstract

We investigate a number of important management factors that can be attributed to the successful of completion and deployment of e-commerce projects. These factors are generally considered in the process of project management within the context of a business-to-consumer environment. In particular, we focus on the important strategic planning stage of project management that can have a serious impact on the eventual success of the projects. The approach taken can be considered an adaptation of conventional engineering project management in the context of e-commerce deployment. This ensures that tried-and-tested techniques are applied and developed.
