Abstract

Population aging is a growing issue for many metropolitan cities. With the proven effectiveness of assistive technology for elderly care, a smart home healthcare system that utilizes assistive technology would facilitate independent living for senior citizens with cognitive impairment living alone. The main objective of the proposed system is to provide patients with a point-of-care solution with minimal user intervention while reducing the demand for public healthcare services.
