Abstract

Feedback in high-frequency networks always takes the form of simple series and/or shunt applied to a single stage. Application of feedback changes the scattering parameters of the network considerably. A mapping relationship for the S-parameters directly from the feedback impedance and admittance is presented. This is a conformal Mobius transformation and, on a Smith chart, maps disks of impedance or admittance to disks of the new S-parameters.
