Abstract

We display a continuous-time version of the Kydland-Prescott time-to-build model and analyze its dynamic behavior, applying techniques of independent interest. We work out the local dynamics of a double Cobb-Douglas example. All key features of the model, and in particular time-to-build and non-time-separable leisure, are represented by means of simple parameters whose impact on the dynamics is examined analytically.
