Abstract

The cross sections and angular distributions for fragments emitted in the reaction 620 MeV 86Kr + 197Au have been calculated using the Diffusion Model to describe the approach to equilibrium of the reaction system along the mass-asymmetry coordinate. The calculated quantities are compared with experimental results, and extensions of the theory are discussed.
