Abstract
Musical activity in Balaguer 1926-1935 (Original in Catalan). This book chapter reviews the musical activities organised by a number of theatres, choirs and societies that were active in Balaguer, Catalonia, Spain, between 1926 and 1935. Copies of extracts from original local newspapers are used to illustrate the discussion, providing a glimpse into the cultural life that was truncated by the Spanish Civil War (1936-1939).
