Abstract

The research consisted of one-to-one performances in three places: a 'real' ('homely') flat; a (depersonalised furnished flat use by an arts centre for visitors; a'fictional' flat constructed in a studio. In each space I engaged one volunteer particpant at a time in a performance of semi-scripted dialogue and physical intimacy (eg. holding hands) of around 60 minutes duration.
