Abstract

The North of Scotland Archaeology Society (NOSAS) started the Strathconon Survey in November 2006. The survey recorded all the abandoned rural settlements in Strathconon - over 20 miles long. Many of the people from these settlements were cleared to surrounding areas in the late 18th and early 19th centuries.
