Abstract
This essay was commissioned for a book published by the LUX Artist Associates Programme, funded by the Leverhulme Trust. It responds to the work of artist Stina Wirfelt and an anonymously authored text on psychogeography which informed her recent work. It traces the trope of walking or drifting from Rousseau to the Situationists to elucidate Wirfelt's artistic concerns .
