Abstract

I was invited by artists Rebecca Wilcox and Oliver Pitt to contribute to a group exhibition of new works made in response to the archive of the Third Eye Centre Glasgow as part of the exhibition 'What We Have Done, What We Are About To Do. I produced an edition of 600 postcards relating to Derek Jarman's 1989 installation at Third Eye Centre, all of which were distributed free of charge to visitors during the exhibition. I also arranged for archival footage of Jarman's gallery talk to be borrowed from the archives of the National Review of Live Art, University of Bristol, and this was shown during the exhibition with kind permission of the Estate of Derek Jarman. I organised a free screening of some of Jarman's lesser-known Super 8 and video works, presented and discussed by myself and by Jarman's producer James Mackay.
