Abstract
'Adaptation' is a four-person project at The Collective Gallery, Edinburgh by Banu Cennetoglu (artist/curator Istanbul), Maria Fusco (Goldsmiths, London), Dominic Paterson (Glasgow), and Sarah Tripp (artist/writer, Glasgow). It involved a preview exhibition in the project space at Collective, a series of related public events at various venues in Edinburgh, an art exhibition of text and film works (Collective Gallery, October-November 2012). A publication will follow in Spring 2013. For this project I have contributed (in chronological order): organising and introducing a public talk at the National Gallery of Scotland by Professor Matthew Rampley; arranging the exhibition of work by artist Neil Clements, alongside my own arrangement of photographic images; making an hour-long film work, and installation for the final exhibition at Collective, Oct-Nov 2012; a 2-hour public discussion event with the other members of the project, Oct 13th 2012.
