Abstract
This paper presents an approach to modelling of elements of the neuromuscular system. The paper provides a brief account of the main features of the biological system and discusses ways in which certain elements of the system, such as the muscle spindle, can be modelled. Emphasis is placed on an experimentally-based approach.
