Abstract
On Bright Air is a piece for solo flute. Research for this piece was supported by a grant from the Carnegie Trust for the Universities of Scotland. It was premiered by Joshua Batty on 2 April 2011 at the Wales Millennium Centre, Cardiff during the Arcomis International Flute Event. It was selected for publication in the Acromis Flute Album and will be performed again at the launch of the Arcomis Flute Album on 16 May 2012 as part of the Elektrostatic concert series in Bristol (Colston Hall 2).
