Abstract
One of the first measurements that can be perfomed with early LHC data is the inclusive jet cross section measurement. The low transverse momentum range of the differential jet pT inclusive jet cross section, where new physics is not expected, will serve as a benchmark for many aspects of the jet measurement, starting from trigger up to the final energy calibration. This measurement will provide a basis to investigate the higher transverse momentum region. The strategy to obtain this measurement and the main sources of systematic uncertainties such as PDF knowledge and jet energy scale will be discussed.
