Abstract

Approximations for Fully Isotropic Laminate (FIL) configurations are presented as an extension to recent work on Fully uncoupled Orthotropic Laminates (FOLs) and FILs, which have recently been established as a special sub-set of FOLs. Approximations are characterized in terms of their proximity to the non-dimensional lamination parameters describing a FIL configuration. The proximity criteria applied, relates to changes in induced curvature and stiffness properties with respect to the FIL.
