Abstract

A novel hexanuclear iron(III) complex [Fe6(C7H11NO5)6(μ2-O)3Na][NO3]•18H2O has been synthesised from N-(2-hydroxypropyl)iminodiacetic acid and has been shown by X-ray crystallography to possess a prismatic structure containing a sodium ion in the core.
