Abstract

Argues that the growing range of scholarly review journals provide important evidence on the reception of different kinds of print culture during the Enlightenment period, and on translation and transmission processes across cultural borders in Europe. For this study, particular use is made of one German, one Dutch and one Danish journal of this kind.
