Abstract
The paper reports on experiences in, and outcomes from an investigative elective course offered as part of the MBA Programme at the University of Glasgow. Participants in the elective are currently working in, or have recently left an organisation they can use as an information source. They are required to evaluate the value of the Balanced Scorecard in their organisation.A survey questionnaire is collectively designed during the elective. The survey itself is therefore systematic across the ten or so companies represented by participants, so the results will allow a comparative research study of the value of the Balanced Scorecard approach in the companies.
