Abstract

How can Escape Rooms be used as a pedagogical tool to engage participants in learning about human rights, empathy, history, EDI, climate change, sustainability and international law? In this conversation on Educational Escape Rooms, designers from the U.S., UK and Europe present/demo their escape rooms, and discuss their pedagogical and educational aims. Presentations address themes such as sustainable development, promotion of empathy through history lessons, carbon fossils and climate change, EDI in the context of maritime shipping, and lessons from commercial escape rooms.
