Abstract
From the inception of the court in October 2009, up until November 2023, the UK Supreme Court has given judgment in twenty international family law cases. This chapter considers the Court’s decisions in cross-border adult relationship and child cases, examining how these have been implemented by lower courts and the extent to which foreign jurisdictions have adopted, or taken account of, the approach of the UK’s apex court. The chapter concludes by observing trends which can be identified from the incipient international family law case law of the Court.
