Abstract
The conglomeration of the British book publishing industry has resulted in an increased focus on bestselling and celebrity authors. This is particularly axiomatic in the children’s books sector, which is dominated by blockbuster authors and has seen a growth in celebrity authors in recent years. This chapter focuses on small presses that publish inclusive youth literature which are led/founded, or co-led/founded, by women. By conducting comparative case studies of the three most prominent inclusive children’s small presses in the UK, and the titles they produce, it will examine the role of small presses in the inclusive youth literature movement.
