Abstract

Background Quality improvement (QI) is core to clinical practice and an expected part of postgraduate training. Quality improvement projects (QIPs) aim to improve safety, patient outcomes, and efficacy of care and this should be embedded in undergraduate teaching as part of a continuum of QI training, as stated in the GMC’s Outcomes for Graduates. However, there is no standard guidance on how to best incorporate this into the undergraduate curriculum Aims To share and gain ideas on incorporating QI into your undergraduate medical curriculum, what barriers there might be, how these can be overcome and share ideas on easy projects for primary care.
