Abstract

This article seeks to shift somewhat the emphasis of the current discussion on copyright and artificial intelligence ( AI). It stresses the primary, but little considered, purely economic concerns behind the drive for AI-product protection, and it underlines the difference between true human creativity and AI-imitation which cannot be a basis for copyright protection and authorship of the deviser of the AI-machine.
