Abstract
The study reports findings from a narrative literature review of the current literature on fostering EAP students' academic literacy by using online academic Communities of Practice (CoPs). The study aims to understand how CoPs and learning networks can help EAP students develop academic skills that are transferable and relevant in current digital times. The study suggests that CoPs can serve as a platform for students to practise not only their core academic skills needed for their studies but also skills in social interaction and online engagement that may be required in academia.
