Abstract
The Leuenberg Agreement is considered in the context of Anglican ecumenical agreements, especially in Europe. Anglicans have reached agreements similar to Leuenberg with several CPCE member churches, but these do not establish a relationship of communion and do not allow for interchangeability of ministries. The Porvoo Joint Declaration was able to achieve communion because it included mutual recognition of episcopal ministry. The agreement between the Church of Ireland and the Methodist Church in Ireland also led to communion.
