Abstract

The chapter deviates from the contemporary discourse on migration that by and large focuses on migration within and out of Africa. It provides a perspective of present and future emigration to Africa from other countries, that is, non-African immigrants settling on the continent. Firstly, the chapter traces the historical trends of emigration to Africa since colonization. Secondly, it examines African attitudes towards immigration post-colonization. Thirdly, contemporary emigration trends to Africa are presented and discussed. Lastly, the chapter attempts to scan the trajectory of emigration to Africa.
