Abstract
This is the special anniversary issue of The Shestov Journal celebrating the bicentenary of Fiodor Dostoevsky's birthday (1821-2021), and the publication of the landmark article by Shestov in 1921 of an article entitled "Dostoievsky et la lutte contre les evidences" (Dotoevsky and the fight against self-evidence), in the Nouvelle Revue Française, which launched Shestov's career in France and marked a turning point in Dostoevsky's reception as an existential religious writer.
