Abstract

The crisis among young people after covid is really serious, but are psychiatrists and psychologists in the Czech Republic able to do anything about it? Psychiatry is neglected and psychiatrists and psychologists disagree on what to do next. See the recent crisis in the psychiatric hospital in Kroměříž, where the professionals there protested against the director (who then resigned). They wrote a petition which was not heard, and so then half of the senior doctors, some clinical psychologists, and most of the young doctors resigned. Jan Čulík talks about the current problems in Czech psychiatry and psychology with David Unger, a clinical psychologist who now works in Zlín.
