Abstract
The Pirate Party, a member of the current Czech government coalition, is expelling one of its politicians from its leadership because she has attended a "controversial" (i.e. allegedly "left-wing") event. Thus it would appear that the current Czech ruling coalition is not at all as centrist as it pretended to be before the last general election. Will the Czech Republic go the way of Hungary, Poland and Slovakia, towards populist authoritarianism? This is what Jan Čulík talks about to political analyst Ondřej Slačálek from Charles University in Prague.
