Abstract

This study examines the impact that taking breaks from the labour market has on women's career paths and how these differ between various occupational groups. It is the report of a research project funded by the Women's Research and Employment Initiatives Program (WREIP). The findings document the importance of policies aimed towards enabling women to take career breaks without impeding their career prospects.
