Abstract

Incredible: Teenagers in the Czech Republic today cannot get into high school because politicians have completely neglected education for the past fifteen years and there are not enough spaces in schools. And this at a time when highly educated people are absolutely needed due to the impending artificial intelligence revolution. When will politicians be held accountable for ruining young people's lives? And can the situation be interpreted in any optimistic way at all? Jan Čulík talks about this with Britské listy editor Bohumil Kartous, an activist trying to improve Czech education. This Britské listy Interview was broadcast by the Czech cable TV station Náš Region from 23rd May 2023.
