Abstract

Using the process of multi-ethnography, we (three EAP practitioners and researchers) will share our experience of engaging in dialogic and creative inquiry - centred in ethics of care - to explore our emerging identities as social justice educators. In the presentation we will discuss the process of engaging with the guiding principles for our project, share with the audience moments of realisation and resistance we faced when adopting less established research paradigms and how we coped with them. As we hope to encourage EAP practitioners to engage in similar, collaborative and creative inquiries, the audience will have a chance to experiment with one such creative research practice, namely blackout poetry to analyse a short text and discuss their experience.
