Abstract
A simple and miniaturized shared aperture multiband antenna utilizing same radiating structure suitable for sub 1GHz (dual band) and sub 6GHz frequency bands is presented. A lumped element has also been used to the design to achieve the resonance at sub 1GHz band with small aperture size. Fabricated on FR-4 lossy Substrate (ɛr=4.3) with dimension of 16.40x10.50x1.52mm3 . Top layer of substrate comprises of folded dipole antenna, excited through coaxial feeds are applied at the horizontal and vertical pairs of parallel strips at the bottom layer. The proposed shared aperture antenna covers the frequency bands of 0.431-0.435GHz, 4.75-4.96GHz and 5.64- 5.88GHz.
