Abstract
For the early morning news bulletin Ranné správy (Morning News) Jan Čulík was interviewed by the Slovak public service TV station RTVS about the appointment of Rishi Sunak to the position of the Conservative Party leader and UK PM. He points out that the appointment seems to have calmed the international markets somewhat, that Sunak gave a short conciliatory speech to the public on Tuesday 25th October, 2022, but towards the evening he shocked many observers by re-appointing the incompetent Suella Braverman to the post of the Home Secretary, although she had been sacked just six days before due to a security breach. Jan Čulík also points out in this interview that many of the other government appointments by Rishi Sunak were, disappointingly enough, re-appointments of not very competent ministers from the Boris Johnson era, although a couple of them are probably centrists. - See here: https://blisty.cz/art/110337-jan-culik-hovoril-ve-stredu-rano-ve-slovenske-televizi-o-novem-britskem-premieru-rishi-sunakovi.html The interview is from minute 10:30.
