Abstract

As part of the volume's reflection on and celebration of Sarah Kay's contribution to medieval literary and cultural studies, this piece explores the possible ramifications of her work on parchment and skin, extending the arguments through a reflection on medieval Jewish contexts and prescriptions relating to the production of both parchment and manuscripts.
