Abstract

French historian Muriel Blaive taught at a secondary school in the beautiful city of Nice on the French Riviera during the past academic session. But she brought back the worst experiences from France. Everything seems to be collapsing. French schools do not have money to buy textbooks for their pupils. French trains are not running properly. People can no longer properly afford food. President Macron tells the French people that they must get used to poverty. Jan Čulík talks to Dr. Blaive about this. Is the West unravelling before our eyes? This Britské listy interview was broadcast on the Czech cable TV station Regionalnitelevize.cz from 2nd September 2022.
