Abstract
In response to the news that EU immigration to the UK has dropped to about 5-10 per cent of what it used to be, Jan Čulík was interviewed on Slovak Television (24 Live) about the continuing impact of Brexit in the UK. He mentioned the fact that the ministers of the London government are avoiding the issues of Brexit or are trying to minimalise it, but that lack of staff has seriously affected UK agriculture (fruit and vegetables worth 60 million pounds have rotted in UK fields), UK construction industry, UK airports and even the Scottish salmon industry. At the same time, the ruling London government is incapable of solving any of the current problems of the country, since PM Boris Johnson goes on repeated holidays and the competitors for his post Liz Truss and Rishi Sunak are locked in a vicious fight for succession. the interview is here https://www.rtvs.sk/televizia/archiv/19166/348246#644 from minute 10.43.
