Abstract

The Ministry of Education (MINEDUC) in Chile has opted for new directions of improvement at the national school level, through new curricular proposals called Learning Progress Maps (LPM), which propose a guide to the work in the classroom through the promotion of skills, content, and predetermined domains according to each discipline, contributing to the quality and equity in the educational systems, and especially those dependent on the State. In this context, the objective is to analyze the congruence between the incorporated skills by NM1 teachers of the Biology, Chemistry and Physics sector, in the lesson plans and instruments of evaluation in a didactic unit and in the level 5 skills of the Natural Sciences LMPs in the municipal schools of Talcahuano. This, the present research is based on a qualitative phenomenological approach and for the recollection of data, observation techniques, document analysis, Delphi methodology and focus groups were utilized. In this way, the results showed that the teachers of Natural Sciences, in the majority of the ases, present decoupling in the implementation of the skills and scientific contents in the assessment instruments, supporting varied factors that influence the development and construction of their classes.
