Abstract

Our shared language when discussing academic research and analysis are seeping with troubling power dynamics and colonial discourse. We have placed our investigations into vessels riddled with holes that do not allow space for broader perspectives from the global South. In this think piece, the author reveals the potency of linguistic metaphor and the possibility of manifesting an eco-social contract for the 21st century that is built in harmony with nature.
