Abstract

The current Czech PM Petr Fiala's "umbrella against poverty" is a mockery for a large part of the Czech population, which, due to drastically rising food and energy prices, has no possibility to reduce or redirect its spending and is left with only one thing: starvation. The Fiala government has been talking about possible help for the people since April, but it is June and still nothing is happening. The aid must be targeted or it will fuel inflation even further. Jan Čulík talks about all these highly worrying facts and the dilettante, ideological incompetence of the Fiala government with debt expert Radek Hábl. The interview was broadcast on the Czech cable TV station Regionalnitelevize.cz from 21st June, 2022.
