Abstract

What are young people in the Czech Republic going to do about the fact that they have no representation in politics at all and that the 50-somethings who control Czech politics do not have their interests at heart and are doing absolutely nothing to fight global warming, which will hit today's young generation hard? Jan Čulík talks about this with Vojtěch Petrů, editor-in-chief of Studentské listy [The Student Gazette]. ]According to him, this is a problem because Czech schools usually instil in young people the following principles: "Keep sitting passively, be silent, do not speak up and do not undertake any action!" This Britské listy Interview was broacast on the Czech cable TV station from Tuesday 17 May 2022.
