Abstract

This is a protocol for a Cochrane Review (Intervention). The objectives are as follows: The primary objective is to assess the effect of intravenous heparin on all‐cause mortality in ruptured abdominal aortic aneurysm (rAAA) management in patients undergoing an emergency repair. The secondary objectives are to assess the effect of intravenous heparin in ruptured abdominal aortic aneurysm (rAAA) management on general arterial disease (cardiac, cerebral and renal pathologies) in patients undergoing emergency repair.
