Abstract
Persistent Identifiers as IRO Infrastructure is an AHRC funded project as part of the Towards a National Collection programme. In this second webinar for the project, the project team presented the initial results of a survey on the use of persistent identifiers in Heritage Organisations followed by a panel discussion of the results. Panel members included Rebecca Bailey, Programme Director, Towards a National Collection, Lorna Mitchell, Head of Library, Archives & Publications Royal Botanic Garden Edinburgh and Claudia Fabian, co-founder of the International Standard Manuscript Identifier. Prof Roderic Page, University of Glasgow, also demonstrated a prototype tool to navigate between persistent identifiers across heritage collections.
