Abstract
The band texture formation in LCP has been investigated. Rheo-optical techniques have been used to characterise the rate of evolution of the texture with respect to changes in previous shear rate. The effects of the previous shear rate and time of relaxation on the tan(δ) function were subsequently investigated. Temperature effects have also been investigated.
