Abstract

Before the forthcoming general election in the Czech Republic, which will take place on October 2021, Jan Čulík talks to political scientist Professor Jiří Pehe of the Prague branch of New York University. What is the current Czech political situation and who will win the elections? Why do so many Czechs like authoritarian personalities in politics about whom they think they will save them? The interview was broadcast by the Czech cable TV station Regionalnitelevize.cz from 17th August 2021.
