Abstract

Czech public service radio and television has been informing the Czech public about the brutal Israeli bombardment of Gaza quite differently from how this issue has been dealt with by international media. Does the Tel Aviv Czech Television reporter not see, in the context of the work of other international journalists working in Israel, that he is grossly distorting facts by uncritically reporting only the bulletins of the Israeli army? And if the Czech media distort information about the situation in the Middle East, what else are they distorting? Jan Čulík discusses these issues with the Britské listy foreign affairs analyst Daniel Veselý. The interview was broadcaset by the Czech cable TV station Regionalnitelevize.cz from 21st May, 2021.
