Abstract
Mobile health (mHealth) is going through a massive growth spurt that would promisingly transform healthcare delivery for a huge number of patients. The key to unlocking the full potential of mHealth is data analytics which is capable of revealing insights for personalised and just-in-time health interventions. Analysis of mHealth data is uniquely distinguished from conventional health analytics. Hence, this study proposes a Unified Structured Framework for mHealth Analytics (USF-mHA) as an open process model that can be adopted in mHealth apps. With the consideration of data and knowledge management, it provides a standardised guideline for mHealth developers to integrate analytics components with open standards for various stakeholders. Besides, the paper discusses a USF-mHA platform for building an open and collaborative community amongst patients, caregivers, and researchers. The study contributes to the cumulative theoretical development of mHealth analytics and standard methodologies.
