Abstract

The Czech Republic has again appeared in the headlines of the international media. A record number of people with serious covid has been hospitalised in the Czech Republic, writes the Guardian newspaper. The situation is deteriorating seriously. Hospitals are being overwhelmed and doctors are forced to decide who will live and who must die. And yet many people do not take covid-19 seriously. They do not observe safety measures "in protest against the Prime Minister Andrej Babiš". But Babiš does not own this pandemic. Observe the safety measures in the pandemic if you do not want to die. Jan Čulík talks to his colleague, Britské listy commentator Bohumil Kartous, about the pandemic situation in the Czech Republic, which is now really serious. This interview was broadcast by the Czech cable TV station Regionalnitelevize.cz from Friday 19th February 2021.
