Abstract
This article investigates the performance works of Scottish performance artist Diane Torr at Franklin Furnace Archive in Brooklyn, New York. For this volume of the Journal of the Scottish Society for Art History, which focuses on Scotland and North America, Torr's work in the drag king persona Hamish McAllister is explored, particularly in elements of embodying gender and cultural identity. The concept of queering the archive and practices, or traces, of live art documentation are noted.
