Abstract

"I will never understand how come people participate in anti-lockdown demonstrations, how come they do not wear masks, how come they say that the horror in the hospitals here does not exist, that covid does not exist. That disease is serious, anyone can get it and it is nasty. Even though you might be a young sportsperson, this does not mean that you will survive the disease. The disease simply chooses people according to some kind of key which we do not know. It can affect anyone. Simply anyone. I am really bothered by the fact that someone is making light of the suffering of these people here." Jan Čulík talks to Martina Hvozdenská, a health worker from the Tomáš Baťa Regional Hospital in Zlín, about her experiences with covid. This interview was broadcast by the Czech cable TV station Regionalnitelevize.cz from 3rd February 2021.
